 Where are Millet products designed?

All Millet products are designed at our design centre in Annecy, one hour from Chamonix in the heart of the French Alps.
Our team of designers, engineers and product managers - every one of them passionate about the mountains - work closely with our team of technical advisers to develop and constantly upgrade our products. All our new designs are tested and retested by leading names from the mountain community before they go to market. François Damilano, Daniel Du Lac, Stéphane Brosse and François Nicole, and others, all have their say in the development process. Millet's greatest strength is that it develops its products in tandem with the world's finest alpinists, and is highly receptive to their expert feedback.

Where does the name Millet come from?

It's simply the surname of two mountain-loving brothers who, in the 1950s, were among the first to develop backpacks for mountaineers. Millet equipped the expedition which in 1950 scaled Annapurna, the first ever 8,000m-plus summit conquered by man.

I'm planning an expedition: can Millet sponsor me?
